Particularly if you have special regulatory/compliance requirements, want to ensure full control over your data or have specific
security and data protection regulations
our on-premise email security solution eXpurgate.Inhouse is the right choice.

An efficient email security solution is one of the most important security aspects for companies. With eXpurgate.Inhouse, you can reliably protect your sensitive data against spam & malware as well as sophisticated phishing & ransomware attacks.

1.000.000.000

eXpurgate scans more than
1. billion emails daily!
As an eXpurgate customer, you benefit from this data and knowledge gained from global email traffic and are effectively protected against spam and advanced threats

eXpurgate Core Engine

The eXpurgate Core Engine uses a variety of technologies such as fingerprinting and hashes to categorize emails. The so-called “bulk check” distinguishes between individual communication and mass emails. Intelligent algorithms minimize data exchange with the eleven Intelligence Hub without sacrificing the best detection performance.

The eXpurgate Core Engine classifies emails into over 15 different categories – this allows granular handling according to individual requirements. This means you are optimally protected against unwanted or dangerous e-mails.

Simple and flexible connection to your existing infrastructure

The eXpurgate.SMTP is an SMTP proxy that can be easily integrated into your existing e-mail flow. There are also plug-ins for connection via the Milter and spamc protocols. The eXpurgate.daemon can be addressed as a standalone solution via text protocol. The eXpurgate.SDK is available for integration into your own software solutions. This provides many flexible optionsfor integrating eXpurgate.Inhouse into yourexisting infrastructure.

Maximum protection, minimum hardware requirements

eXpurgate.Inhouse is optimized for resource-saving use: optimal use of CPU and RAM, minimal memory requirements and low network load make eXpurgate.Inhouse an ideal all-rounder for almost any environment.

How eXpurgate.Inhouse protects against spam, phishing & ransomware

Spam filter

Free yourself and your employees from time-consuming and annoying spam emails and concentrate on the essentials: Your business. With almost perfect detection rates of over 99.99% and zero false positives(tm), eXpurgate.Inhouse offers efficient protection against all types of spam emails.

Phishing filter

Protect your company and your employees from classic phishing attacks and the associated outflow of sensitive data. The phishing filter identifies attacks and fends them off before they become a threat. This reduces the risk of falling victim to a phishing attack to a minimum.

Quishing filter

As with phishing, quishing aims to steal sensitive company data. With quishing, however, a QR code is placed in the e-mail instead of a conventional link. This is not recognizable as a phishing link at first glance. Once scanned with the smartphone, the fraudsters can obtain sensitive data or malware is downloaded directly onto the smartphone. With the various ATP technologies, eXpurgate.Inhouse also reliably protects you against this threat.

Newsletter filter

The filter differentiates between different types of newsletters. While consciously subscribed newsletters are desired and should be delivered to the recipient, unsolicited newsletters can be rejected directly. The handling of unsolicited newsletters can be configured individually.

Attachment Filter

The attachment filter allows you to specify which types of e-mail attachments you want to allow in your company. Define your own unauthorized file extensions or use the preset without further effort.

Intelligence Hub

All data and information collected by eXpurgate flows together centrally in the Intelligence Hub. The data is enriched, continuously analyzed in real time and evaluated accordingly. Benefit from this data and knowledge gained from worldwide e-mail traffic. Thanks to the Intelligence Hub, eXpurgate.Inhouse guarantees unrivaled recognition performance.

Additional Protection – Complete protection for your on-premise email security

Full Anti Virus Protection

Malware Filter, Virus Scan & Malware Outbreak Protection: The “Full Anti-Virus Protection” protects your e-mail communication securely against malware and viruses.

You are on the safe side with our malware filter. Emails are extracted into individual components by the malware filter. In the “Intelligence Hub”, attachments and their meta-information are checked using various multi-stage test procedures analyzed and evaluated. The malware filter offers comprehensive protection for malware currently in circulation.

The eXpurgate.inhouse virus scan completes the malware filter. This is an additional, continuously updated signature-based virus detection to ensure the best possible protection against dangerous email attachments.

Every second counts in malware outbreaks. Through our comprehensive view of global email traffic and with the help of the “Intelligence Hub”, eXpurgate.Inhouse recognizes malware outbreaks based on their distribution patterns. Malware attacks are often not immediately detected by established antivirus solutions. With Malware Outbreak Protection, you can close this gap and increase your security.

Flow Control – Enhanced detection performance

If an email is “very suspicious”, it can be deleted using the Flow Control feature can be temporarily rejected or put on hold until the email can be clearly classified. Flow Control increases the detection performance for new waves of spam.

Flow Control is available in two versions:

Flow Control Local (eXflowCtl.Local or “Freezing”)
With Flow Control Local, the e-mail is accepted and processed locally by eXpurgate. Locally retained emails are regularly scanned and compared with the latest findings from the Intelligence Hub.

Please note: This feature is only available in the eXpurgate.SMTP variant.

Flow Control Edge (eXflowCtl.Edge or “Intelligent Greylisting”)
In contrast to local processing, Flow Control Edge relies on the proven greylisting method and temporarily rejects suspicious emails. In contrast to conventional greylisting, this decision is made on the basis of a large number of criteria. By the time the sender resubmits the email, the Intelligence Hub has gained further insights that enable even more precise classification.

Please note: This feature is currently only available as a closed beta for the eXpurgate.Milter variant.

Even more flexibility:

Further advantages of the on-premise e-mail security solution eXpurgate.Inhouse

API – eXampler API

Using the eXampler API, you can create false positive/false negative reports via an HTTPS-based interface and query the processing status. The API simplifies integration into your existing workflows and processes.

API – eXplained API

Each e-mail processed by eXpurgate receives a unique ID, the so-called eXpurgate ID. This ID can be used to determine further details about the cause of a classification using the eXplainID API. In addition, it is checked whether this classification has changed in the meantime. The API is a useful addition for efficient false positive/false negative reporting.

E-mail & telephone support

Our multilingual support team is available by phone and e-mail and can help you quickly and reliably with questions and problems.

Supported operating systems

eXpurgate is available for all common and current operating systems – including Unix-, Windows- and FreeBSD-based systems.
