Task definition
NSI was looking for a reliable solution to automate the business processes in the areas of contract management, delivery date management and warehousing in the interim storage area (VZL) and to ensure a smooth flow of information between the departments involved.
Solution
The introduction of dataglobal CS and web-based workflow solutions, individually tailored to the requirements of the respective departments, enables NSI employees to carry out processes faster than before and without time-consuming queries.
Another important part of the project is the introduction of automatically generated documentation for tracking all process steps.
Contract workflow area
The permanent availability of all essential information can make collaboration between several departments and individual employees more efficient. Time-consuming queries and the need for clarification are avoided.
- Cross-departmental workflow for processing and approving contracts with supplying companies
- The new contract document is automatically transferred to the workflow, processed and archived after completion
- The departments involved independently supplement the contract document with detailed information and comments
- Once all departments involved have voted, the initiator is automatically informed and makes the decision to approve
- At the end of the workflow, an automatically generated summary is created. The approval stations are documented in a traceable manner and archived together with the contract process
Area Request delivery date
Various departments at NSI Präzisionstechnik work together with the deadline request workflow to determine the planned delivery date.
- New appointment request workflow enables customer inquiries about the expected delivery date of an order to be answered faster and more accurately than previously possible
- All departments involved work together with the new appointment request workflow to support the sales team with a reliable forecast for the expected delivery date
- Central approval and communication of the planned delivery date by the person responsible
- All production steps are traceable in the workflow
- Separate document summarizes the individual steps and comments and is automatically archived as part of the process
- The sales team always has the latest information on the expected delivery date
Intermediate storage area
The application developed serves to improve the organization of warehousing, replacing manual data entry steps and eliminating incorrect postings.
- Barcodes are scanned by hand scanner and automatically transferred to the interim storage application
- Withdrawn material is booked out of stock
- Packing lists with information on part number, storage location and quantity and are generated automatically
- Automatically generated transaction list (derecognition document) is archived and can be retrieved on request
