Safer Internet Day: "Together for a better Internet!"
How can you improve your cyber security?Safer Internet Day (SID) is coming up again this February: A day of action that was created to raise awareness for a safer and better Internet. The aim is to educate the younger generation in particular about digital dangers. This time, the motto of the day is “Together for a better Internet”. We at the dataglobal Group are also trying to do our bit to make the Internet a little safer.
Here are some examples of how you can significantly increase your cyber security level.
E-mail security
The key to reliable email security is effective spam protection, which you can achieve with an email security solution such as eXpurgate. Implementation is quick and easy. This way you can reliably protect yourself against spam e-mails and phishing without having to make any major effort.
Anti-virus program
Update your virus protection program regularly so that it is always up to date. Apart from such updates, we recommend installing the latest patches. Please don’t put this off, even if you don’t usually feel like it.
Backups
You should save your data as backups in good time and at regular intervals. These second copies help you to prevent possible data loss. It is also advisable not only to save these digitally and in real time, but also to make analog or offline copies. After all, it sometimes happens that cyber criminals browse through the backups and only then attack the company.
Passwords
A classic that you have probably heard many times before: Passwords. These should be carefully selected and not easy to guess. It is also advisable to use different passwords and to change them from time to time.
Two-factor authentication
A classic that you have probably heard many times before: Passwords. These should be carefully selected and not easy to guess. It is also advisable to use different passwords and to change them from time to time.
Safer Internet Day: Rethink your security strategy
Take today’s Safer Internet Day as an opportunity to rethink your security strategy and adapt it if necessary to protect yourself against cybercrime. We are happy to support you with our expertise in this project.
